Nick Cave's album achieves 100/100 on Metacritic

Because some things take more than a one-liner to explain. If I make an explanation too short, people are always going to ask more questions to get more information anyway so it's best to get everything out there from the get-go.

I wondered the same thing but I've refreshed the page several times and it still says 100 so I'm not sure. I don't know how Metacritic works its algorithms. Maybe it's something to do with how it would be near enough impossible for literally every reviewer to give it 100, so it's like, meet me halfway. But seeing how I've seen artists scores drop by a point because one person posted a 70 review or something, it is unusual. Even if it does drop eventually, it hit 100 straight out the gate and stayed that way for a few days, which has never been done.

I think some people might be a little bit surprised as well but seeing as it's this much of a critical success, they'll probably have a feeling it's going to be a bit more "out there."

I was watching that HP clip last night, took me back so much! I only wish it could've been longer. I still ship Harry/Hermione forever! Apparently, this wasn't going to be the song that was played in this scene but the other choice didn't feel right. I'm so glad they picked this, the lyrics really match the story quite well, essentially kids surviving in this crazy world, a song about despair masquerading as hope. I was listening to the full track last night, borderline crying!

Wikipedia defines them as being alt rock, experimental rock art rock and (though probably just their old stuff) post punk. Nick has one of those kinda gravelly rocker voices, very much like Tom Waits. They've always been an artistic, avant garde kinda band, with lyrics that require intelligence and time to pick apart. Using genius.com helps if you can't decipher the message of his works.

I'm still trying to work it out too. Refer to my earlier quote regarding the same query. But the point is, it says 100 and has stayed that way for days and no one else has managed that.
