I love how diverse her Grammy collection is -- spanning genres (electronic/dance, pop, traditional pop), media (visual media, short form film), team (solo, duo, collaboration), etc. I also love that she has had so many albums (TF, TFM, C2C, Joanne, ASIB) and individual songs (Pokerface, Bad Romance, Shallow, Joanne) win, but also nominated (TF, TFM, BTW, C2C, Joanne, ASIB; Just Dance, Pokerface, Bad Romance, DITD, Telephone, You and I, Til it Happens To You, Million Reasons, Joanne, Shallow). I definitely think that there is at least 1-2 rows missing, though, when you consider the # of times she was screwed (BNA rule bs), shunned (BTW era in its entirety), or shocked (no Bad Romance/Million Reasons nom for SOTY/ROTY, no Shallow win for SOTY/ROTY, no Til it Happens to You win for Song for Visual Media).

For me, the Joanne win last year just wasn't enough of a 'sorry' to make up for the number of losses she has accumulated, even if they were simply close calls. After the BNA debacle, you'd think she would have at least *1* general field win, given 3 straight AOTY noms and 2-3 predicted winners in the song/record of the year categories (Shallow was the overwhelming favorite last year; Million Reasons seemed like a shoe-in for a nom; Bad Romance was considered the front-runner pre-nominations). Likewise, the Adele-mination of the 2012 Awards is something they usually 'buffer' with 1-2 lesser wins; like a 'You and I' or 'BTW' win in the Pop solo/album areas.

Also, anyone know why she didn't nab more noms for her MVs? Paparazzi definitely did not get its dues at the 2010 Grammys; I know BR and TFM overshadowed it, but did the rules prohibit Pokerface from being submitted in the electronic/dance category AND Paparazzi in the Pop one? That was an incredible pop vocal unlike anything of its time and it - and Telehpone, Marry the Night, and GUY - deserved noms in Short form Video IMO. It always seemed weird to me that BR was her only accoldate in that area.
