I mean, it easily could have been for Applause, considering the ideas she came up with for the video on short notice- maybe the visuals for this performance would translate similar to the visuals of the performance. Maybe not. In the end, we were absolutely robbed of a very interesting red carpet interest (Spot the Gaga). Aura I could def see this for. Elements of flight and darkness were in the iTunes fest performance. The VMAS cant handle this type of high concept. It's the wrong audience. Ppl tuning in for 1D, Miley, Ed Sheeran etc ...they wouldn't know what to f'n do. And at the top of the show?!? I can hear the brakes screech. Nah.
