All artist that make music for charts and money more than for their own pleasure and for their fans will floping at one point and it will be really hard for them because chart position is what made their career. Those are the artist that are forgettable and that brought nothing new or fresh to the industry. Once their success moment is over, people get sick of them and they don't get credit anymore cuz they don't have the capacity to bring something different yet interesting. If you want to be big and be remembered you have to escape from this commercial machina and take risk to prove your talent and that you're relevant. This is why gaga will be a legend and ed, taylor or ariana will be superstar but nothing more.
