Talentless is a strong word, have you seen them perform? They are extremely good performers, might not be your cup of tea, but talent is talent.

Who's controlling them? Themselves? I mean yeah they get told to do things but don't all artists? Is lady gaga any more controlled than bts? They both write about similar things. They write their own stuff. They work hard for the fans (and I'd say army are at least a little more grateful than monsters.)

Well their basic product made specifically to be liked by teenage girls speak for itself. They're just the asian 1D.

I doubt it because their music is nothing special, I’ve said it a million times but most KPop (that I’ve heard) sounds like dated western pop music from when we had EDM lite Dance-Pop in 2012-2014. Plus fans don’t vote the Grammys (thank god) a committee of established musicians, songwriters, composers and execs (like the Oscars) get to.

BTS has good packaging and video budget but not good music tbh

I beg to differ tbh. They technically are because Zedd for example produces the entire song, writes the majority of the songs he has people feature on, he composes it, creates the melodies and sometimes even masters it himself. It’s the same for many DJ producers like Calvin Harris for example.

If anything it’s not a collaboration just because some random popstar is singing a song and wrote a line or two for it when 90% of the work comes from Zedd, Calvin etc. That’s what separates them from producers and gives them artist credits.

Dont all pop stars when they start out pander to a younger demographic. Doesnt make them any less talented or worthy or even basic.

as a BTS fan, I just don't see it happening, I don't think the grammy committee is there yet. the only nomination I could see them getting would be pop vocal album for Map of the Soul: Persona, because it's just a really good album, but they will not win obviously. the grammys have never really been accepting of asian artists, which is something they need to work on.

however, i'm ready to be surprised though
