She's using Blue Ivy Carter’s name for profit, even though their name is different from hers... Not to mention Bey already trademarked her name!

This literally isn’t that big of a deal also as her MOTHER ofc she’s gonna gush about her daughter:awkney:

Whatever y’all are gonna hate regardless.

Don't they ever get tired? I don't even know why Beyonce gets MENTIONED in a Gaga forum.... it's the same Caucasian's hating every time anyway...

Yes the company existed before Blue, however what they’re trying to do is earn profit from her full name Blue Ivy Carter as well. The name of the business is Blue Ivy Events and she wants to earn profit from Blue Ivy’s full name because people will get “confused”:laughga: it’s such a ridiculous and frivolous case! You can’t profit off a child’s name and Beyoncé tried to reiterate that the trademark application was for “Blue Ivy Carter” and not “Blue Ivy”.

I understand why you think this is wrong and I respect your opinion but the whole dispute is so dumb the Wedding Event Planner owner is prolonging this case for no justifiable good reason and to hate Beyoncé simply because she’s trying to win the case like every other person would try to do doesn’t make sense to me:laughga:

(I agree on your statement of the rich and poor/middle class:green: she's rich enough, Bey will win simply because she has the money and power to keep taking this to court:green:)

They have been trying to trademark her name for years already so I guess now they are trying trademark the full name and got into another mess..

Anyway, It can be both ways like:

People would come and like "oh you named it after Beyonce's daughter, pathetic way of earning money, bye"

Or

"wow, it's like the name of Beyonce's daughter, I like it so much, deal!"

So there is something in what she says, "confuse" maybe not the right word, but it definitely can have a certain reaction of people.

But on the other hand, Blue Ivy Carter or even Blue Ivy trademark request is not specific for "wedding planning service" so in some sense, both can trademark the name but Bey can't use it for wedding planning service.

And Blue Ivy might not be a cultural icon, but her name is well known, to say the otherwise is delulu, maybe my grandma doesn't know her but a casual radio listener and tabloid reader most likely knows.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

How arrogant can you be to think you invented pairing a basic color with a basic plant, and you're the only one who should ever be able to use that phrase. Plus what an awful precedent it would set. Imagine all the celebrities trying to copyright their generic ass Olivia Jade baby names

It would be one thing if it was just a Trademark for "Blue Ivy" merch, but a copyright is ridiculous

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3

I'll always support the "little man" in situations like this. Beyoncé needs to let that woman keep her business name. It's not like she's trying to break out in the entertainment industry. And, no, Blue Ivy is not a cultural icon. It's reasons like this why Beyoncé rubs some people the wrong way.

Beyonce rubs people the wrong way because people like you and this entire forum site can't read. That lady is profiting off of "BLUE IVY CARTER" which what was trademarked.....

This fanbase just dragged Gaga's innocent makeup artist for doing her JOB... so I guess both fanbases have their pros and cons....

I actually agree with Queen our Royal Highness Beyoncé Knowles. Her child is the best thing that has ever happened to Pop Culture. In fact she is already saving Pop Culture. A lot of people will ask, how? She's like 6 years old? I don't agree. If Beyoncé says she's a cultural Icon then these words are the gospel and you have to believe her. Blue Ivy has done more in the last few years than Gaga in this whole decade. In fact, whoever tries to compare any other cultural icon like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince and so on, are wrong! Because none of them became an icon when they weren't even born! Blue Ivy was already a starlet in Beyoncé's (Our Royal Highness) womb! And the more she grew in that womb the more she glittered, when she came out and was born there are rumors the doctors were blinded by a bright light! Beyoncé must've known right there and then that Blue was special! She has to be, since she's Beyoncé's daughter and Mr. Jay Z, rapper, entrepreneur and billionaire ICON of this whole generation! It's like having the genes of Jesus and Leonardo Da Vinci! Congratulations Beyoncé, thank you for declaring this statement to us! Our Royal Heighness, we bow down to you.

And what of it? "Carter" isn't exclusive to  Beyoncé, nor is Blue Ivy. Believe it or not, but those words and names actually existed before Beyoncé. And no one is using that woman's wedding service thinking it's affiliated with Beyoncé or her child. The average person in the GP doesn't even know that's her name.
