Yes but ever sexually there is is pretty understandable. I just asked because this question is being asked a lot. For example there are trans people who identify as straight or gay but that is something that can be understated because if trans woman likes guys than she is straight trans woman. If non-binary person likes a guy then what is the sexual orientation that they have? I’m not trying to be ignorant. I’m just stating that this non-binary concept is coming with a lot of questions that need to be answered for it to be acceptable to big masses of people.

I took offense in that because I work with and I am surrounded by lgbtq people, and while every individual and every group have their own struggles, they are very similar and the root those struggles stem from are more often than not the same. 

I also like to think that we all are connected, as mankind, so we should always stand up if we see one group/part of our kind be mistreated and unheard. And instead of thinking about the stuff that divides us, we should think about the stuff that unites us.

And where does sexually come in with non-binary people?

My issue with that is that sexuality is highly complex, in general. And it is completely personal. A self proclaimed straight man having sex with a gay man doesn’t make the sexuality he defines himself with wrong. So in regards of a non-binary person, their sexuality is their matter not ours. I never ask people about their sexuality, because it‘s a private matter and it is none of my business. So whenever I see someone be asked about theirs, it always irks me. In general. Because it does not matter.

What if non-binary person likes guys? What is the sexuality we’re talking about?

Let‘s see it like this:

What we as a society do when talking about the sexuality of someone is to put the focus on their own gender. When the question isn’t „Who is attracted to men?“, it‘s rather „Who are they attracted to“.

We divide sexuality into „heterosexual“, when the being is attracted to the opposite gender, and „homosexuality“ when the being is attracted to their gender. When it is totally enough to say „I‘m attracted to men/women/both/neither/both and everything in between“. And for this there are words. Exchange „homosexual & heterosexual“ with „androsexual and gynesexual“ and you take the gender of the being you‘re talking about out, leaving only their preference/sexuality. 

 

If I misspoke, and you felt attacked, I‘m sorry about that. That was not my intention, and I can see how my bluntness and my aggression on the topic itself, and people making issues where there are none, can come off like that.
