Marvel is Considering Casting POC for Professor X and Magneto in the MCU

Magneto literally got his powers as a Jewish person in WW2. 

I don't mind Xavier being a person of color. It's more workable IMO.

Completely agree with this. Also I would like to add that "discrimination" isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes it's necessary to put 2 human beings on an equal playing field. 

Here in Canada forced discrimination was used by various universities to make sure that women were also given a chance to have equal education because originally the majority of the population of students was men. Even today, they allocate around 40% of spots in programs such as engineering specifically for women. Obviously you'll find this problematic if you can't comprehend the fact that women were disadvantaged because for 100's of years they had no place in education and were only seen as housewife material.

Similarly, hollywood has a long standing history of casting majority white actors. So if they're wanting to cast more POC, that's something that's needed to level the playing field. I hate when people sit and complain about how hollywood is white but when hollywood decides to actively change that, they still sit and complain. You can't have it both ways...

Im not convinced with the guy playing Professor X, or the actors playing Storm and Jean.

People are mainly complaining because they take the role of a Ashkenazi Jewish person who are marginalized to give it it another marginalized group. That’s not right.

I'm not saying it's a great idea, but I could see this being done very well by Marvel. And, for the umpteenth time, these are fictional characters. Fictional. Their backstories are not set in holy stone. I hate when people use that as an excuse, "Well, that's not how they were in the comics... ." They're not real people. They're fake, you know?

I'm not sure about who could actually play Magneto, but I want this guy to play Professor X!
