Don’t come after me, that’s my opinion. I personally think Sam Smith goes out of their way to be different all the time and they’re just so normal and ordinary to me.

What “choices” am I reevaluating??? That makes no sense

You're the one who makes no sense. You think Sam is "just trying to be different" yet you still call them "they"?  Where do you actually stand?

Guys... let's do the math :

opinion A (if respectful) = opinion B (if respectful)

but :

claiming someone has to conform to outdated and incohate standards < acknowledging  your own lack of education about that particular subject

and also , in any manner :

respecting someone's decision > rejecting someone's decision

I feel like non-binary individuals can't make up their mind whether they want to be male or female.

However they wanted to be called, people will still call them as what they appear to be.

Like Sam Smith, a guy.

I guess whatever that makes him happy, I just find it ridiculous.

Or actually they don’t identify as a man or a woman so that’s why they go with a non-binary label?

THEY/THEM SINGULAR NOUN EXPLANATION:

When you're referrring to someone you don't know the gender of yet

A: I went to my doctor today and got a really bad shot

B: omg did they hurt you?

--

A: my house just got robbed and my tv's gone. it was too dark to see who it was.

B: omg wow did they take the pearls too?

--

A: this masked bitch just demanded a ransom for my son

B: omg just give it to them!

--

A: someone just donated $1000 to my charity!

B: wow make sure to thank them!

It’s really not. Clearly not everyone identifies as a man or a woman.

Y’all love to pretend these people don’t exist.

Because if I called him “he” people in this thread like yourself will attack me more.

Throughout their career Sam has been like this.

Whatever, I do not need validation from you. Sam Smith is annoying af the end.

I've never met one, and I certainly don't understand their view.

It does but so does "you"

you/your is second person singular or plural. they/them is always third person plural... grammatically they/them as pronouns make no sense but hey, acceptance I guess...

Translation: I'm not a conveniently handsome man and I do not fall into the strict gender role of a man that society has placed on me and that makes me really depressed because I don't get the positive attention I need, so I'd rather conform to some weirdo gender identity trend bullsh!t so people will pay attention to me and call me special and because I don't want to deal with the social stigma of not adhering to the strict gender roles , all the while taking a huge dump on the progress that society has tried to make by making gender roles less strict, and therefor also encouraging stereotypes and gender roles with my nonsense.

The same thing could be said about gay people but some of you aren’t ready to acknowledge the hypocrisy.

Scientifically, "male" and "female" shouldn't be seen as holistically deterministic as it is done so with society, when in fact it should be seen more multi-dimensionally. Literally a spectrum.

Socially, gender norms are a construct and generally based around biological essentialism.

There is no one or the other.
