And trans people are under LGBT+ umbrella and LGBT+ people are under the humans umbrella....

You need to relax and stop being so aggresive

Nah I don’t have any respect for you at all after this thread

Intersex people are still a male or a female with some symptoms. They are not a third sex or anything. They are male or female

Intersex people are intersex

They don’t match male or female chromosomes

AND MANY INTERSEX PEOPLE CONSIDER THEMSELVES NON-BINARY

considering you’re just gonna ignore the dangerous surgeries given at birth for many intersex people to fix them, consider yourself ignored!

The reason you are called he or she is defined by your sex organs. Sam smith is still a he. Like it or not. He is a biological man. It's stupid to choose pronouns.

LOL

As if you'd call a cis passing pre-op trans man "she" just because he has a vagina that you don't even know he has... :ladyhaha:

Honey admit it. We use pronouns based on appearance, not genitals. You don't know what genitals someone has, yet you assume a particular set of pronouns.

So I should say they are or they is?

They are. But the rest is still singular. Like "they are a singer".

And @geopang who reacted to that

False :toofunny:

Talk to a doctor or a geneticist. Please. Y'all don't understand biology or sex. Your conjecture is incorrect.

Or you can take a human sexuality class or genetics class like I have? Sex is male or female. Anything other is a chromosomal/biological anomaly or abnormality. They are technically still male or female depending on the dominant hormones and dominant gonads. Even if intersex was a “third sex”, it’s still a medical condition and isn’t “normal”. That doesn’t mean we should go and medically alter genitalia like doctors used to do.

There are people born with penises who have periods.

Considering that most intersex people are infertile, puberty doesn't have much of an effect. And remember, body hair, boob size, etc. are secondary sexual characteristics. That's the term used in biology and medicine. There are cis women with body hair and cis men with boobs.

Primary sexual characteristics are genitals which intersex people have both of and chromosomes of which there are 3 different possible intersex configurations.

Sex is bimodally distributed but not binary.

There are only a few people in here that recognize the difference between sex and gender so I don't feel the need to dignify all the others who have not done the basic research.

Sex is biological and is usually binary. Male or female.

Gender is a social construct based on biology, but certainly not beholden to it.

So does this mean that Sam Smith is male, but his gender is non-binary?

2% of people are redheads.

2% people are also born intersex.

So is red hair also an anomaly or disorder now?

You can’t be serious with that comparison? Green eyes is not a disorder, and you very well know that. People with light colored eyes actually lack pigment, which may be a factor in negative conditions existing in the long run, but it’s rare. Take an intro to psych or research methods class and you’ll learn that if something is rare, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s “abnormal” in a bad way.

you can’t compare that to an actual medical condition where human development is abnormal. I don’t understand the point you’re trying to make, but ignoring biology and facts to push an agenda where you believe there are several sexes and each chromosomal anomaly Is it’s own sex is nonsensical.

Green eyes are not natural for example. It is an anomaly.

To everyone else who is not very open and accepting about this topic, please try to be, we are fans of someone who would accept someone who who is nonbinary, so we need to do the same. Remember to only form an opinion on others based on their character and behavior, not their appearance, and not on any part of their sexual identity.

Well, after reading most of the replies to this thread I find it unfortunate that there are a large number of people here that do not seem to be the most open. @Haroon @Admin I think that this thread needs a closure.

If you shut down every uncomfortable conversation there will never be progress. If you think a post crosses a line report it, and allow the Mods to make a judgment call. Just my two cents.

That user doesn’t seem to understand basic genetics and biology. Seems like he’s trying to rewrite science to fit his agenda. It’s obvious that LMAO is the only response he has when he doesn’t comprehend chromosomal anomalies.
