Tbh, I dont get the whole Binary thing.

And no, I dont like how the LGBT movement is also used for gender issues. It only makes things more confusing.

Being Gay, Lesbian or Bi is about your sexuality and I can understand Trans people, but further than that it's just a mess. It's hars to even care about it.

Honestly, that's your own problem if you don't have the capacity to grasp or understand that. It's not their problem. But you don't get to say their identity isn't valid because your brain isn't smart enough to get it.

So how bout don't have an opinion or comment about something you don't know anything about and can't understand? Groundbreaking, I know.

Chill man. Your comment is probably the most disrespectful and insulting out of all of the comments in this thread.

If you spread tolerance, you need to tolerate the other side too

Honey, I worked on a documentary about the subject that was awarded by the national academy of my country. I know what it means to be non binary but I find it bullshit. Sorry not sorry.

It is my opinion. It's just more labels to tear us apart. Waking up and dressing like a woman and the other day like a men cause you dont identify with the masculine and feminine gender it's your choice. I don't see a problem with that. I don't believe that boys wear blue and girls wear pink. But taking that to a whole level of importance just like the LGBT movement is dumb. Imo.

Wow that must make you an expert on the topic then huh??

Well your OPINION doesn't take precedence over someone else's IDENTITY.

Based on your own logic, someone could find your identity for being gay as bullshit and say it's not valid because it's their OPINION that being gay isn't a real thing.

Like how that works? Bet not. So stop trying to invalidate others because of your own ignorance and arrogance.

There is a difference about sexuality and gender norms. One of them is changeable and the other isn't.

Should Emos be a part of the LGBT because of they behaviour and way of dressing? Should Harajuku girls join?

What you dress today and the way you behave it's not static, it's mutable. I'm all about breaking boundaries but let's not pretend that Non Binary people are something more than that. They do Cross dressing and gender swaps or mix. What's next "I identify myself has a dolphin? And I want to bring my dolphin suit for work" -.- jesus.

I will not chill out because it's unacceptable that LADY GAGA fans are so ignorant and prejudiced.

By the way, tolerance necessitates a certain degree of intolerance for intolerance. In other words, tolerance means on some level there not be tolerance for intolerance. It's ironic and a paradox, sure, but true nevertheless.

Don't believe me? Research the paradox of tolerance then.

I'm open minded, they do what makes them feel right with themselves

but i think i get where a lot of "resistance" thowards the non-binary subject comes from: a lot of languages don't have a non-gendered pronoun, mine included. we use her/him for objects, food, concepts, everything really, and it's one of the hardest thing to "unlearn" when speaking english, for example, sometimes i catch myself calling my phone a him or something of the sort, it's automatic. We also don't  have a non plural "they" or a plural "you" because, to keep it simple, we have the words "yous" and "hes/shes", so it's hard to conceive a non gendered word... the closest we might end up saying is something very pejorative, that if translated would kind of sound like "that thing/stuff/creature" so better not

I wouldn't know how to call a non-binary person in my mother language without them telling me what's the correct way to call them.

but in the end of the day that's my ignorance not theirs

There are only a few people in here that recognize the difference between sex and gender so I don't feel the need to dignify all the others who have not done the basic research.

Sex is biological and is usually binary. Male or female.

Gender is a social construct based on biology, but certainly not beholden to it.

First of all, LGBTQ isn't all about sexuality. Trans isn't a sexual orientation, it's a gender identity. In other words, the LGBTQ community is about both sexual orientation and gender identity, sexual minorities and gender minorities. Yes, there's a difference between them, but the community encompasses both.

As to your examples, these are false equivalencies. Being "emo" is about expression, not a gender or sexual identity. Expression is a part of gender, sure, but is not the identity itself.

And to bring in the whole dolphin thing is absolutely ridiculous and intentionally misleading.

How is it so hard to understand that some people are born with a body that does not match what they know themself to be? It's analogous to being born male, identifying as a man, but being attracted to those of the same gender and not the opposite gender. The argument you're using is the same one people used to make to gay people, the whole "first we have to accept gay people next we'll have to accept people having sex with animals" teas.

Completely irrational and all about false equivalencies. And why? Because people didn't understand it before. Same thing here. You don't understand it. But that doesn't make people who are nonbinary invalid.

You're literally doing to gender minorities what used to happen (and still happens) to gay people.

Non-Binary people are under the Trans umbrella

You can delete your account with your “correct if I’m wrong” gaslighting BS!

We’ve seen your other transphobic comments.
