I am also tired of Pete saying that he is a progressive. Agreeing with Israel’s apartheid state, coming out against free college and Medicare For All, and being “troubled” by Chelsea Manning does not make you a progressive :toofunny:

What’s wrong with thinking israel is allowed to exist? He isn’t a fan of Netanyahu.

Lmao you're helpless aren't you. We all heard it with our own ears. First he said you'd buy in to it, then he said you wouldn't have to. Maybe he wasn't clear enough but bottom line is he changed what he said originally.

Why are you making excuses for him? We all have EARS and EYES and know what he said regardless of how high you reach for the stars to defend him here.

He said if you qualify based on low income, you'd automatically be enrolled. If you don't qualify, you'd have to opt/buy in. Saying everyone would have to opt in is a mischaracterization.

Castro seems to think that because this is an election he is authorized to run a scorched-earth campaign. He isn't, voters don't like it, and that's why he's never going to break 1-2% in the polls (apologies in advance is he's at 3% in a poll or two, he's so off my radar b/c he's rather irrelevant outside of being a d*ck in the debates).

I’d really be interested to see what your thoughts are on this most recent story. See below.

My takeaways:

1. While this does not necessarily prove Pete did anything wrong, it does not provide any evidence to prove he is innocent either.

2. This continues to support my concern with all of the money Pete collects from his big donors & what is being said behind closed doors.

3. This continues to suggest Pete may not have the leadership qualities necessary for the office he is running for.

4. It continues to prove that black and brown people continue to suffer from systemic racism & that police personnel will stand up and protect each other at the expense of black and brown people in this country.

5. In my view, it also puts his integrity into question & continues to support why he and Kamala are second-tier candidates & why other candidates are resonating more than they are. Even if he is innocent, the authenticity factor can kill a campaign & is one of the reasons (not the only one) why’s Hillary lost in 2016.

Were we watching the same debate? Thankfully a lot of people were listening closely. And are you seriously suggesting that it's possible to hear specific policy stances in debates where  there are 10-20 candidates and each is given a minute to answer? Sheesh.

Also just because you (and others, including those who have reacted to your post) have deliberately chosen to shut your ears out because you support a certain [insert candidate] doesn't mean that he's speaking platitudes. Again, it's tiring trying to debate with people who don't want to listen at all in the first place. I'm done here.

Knew this was coming. The videos don't prove anything. Krystal Ball is a complete joke who hates anyone who isn't Bernie. TYT has become more of a leftist Fox News feeding into the propaganda machine contorting into all ways possible to make their stories appear credible.

I'd much rather believe an actual South Bend resident on the word about this.

Also, interesting you didn't respond to the counter to your false claim that he didn't mention any policy stances on the debate stage and instead pivoted and chose to wait for a story to surface that makes him look inauthentic at the surface level but goes on to prove nothing in reality.

Your person from south bend is not a credible source. I provided multiple sources of actual journalism and not a grassroots support twitter account. I don't know how you can just entirely dismiss something like this.

Note: TYT is certainly proving itself to be more like a niche mainstream news outlet but that doesn't mean everything they say is fake. That sounds dangerously like "Fake News" and Trumpian of you to say in fact. Also Krystal is very clear about her stance with regard to Bernie but to call her a joke because you dislike what she has to say has no merit whatsoever. There is nothing she has ever said that has not had an appropriate caveat or clear indication that what she says is her opinion. Not to mention the more balanced commentators that are on the Rising show. You can't say the same when MSNBC constantly puts on former Hillary Clinton staffers on the show to bash Bernie unchecked and often when they speak falsehoods.

If you really want me to discuss the policies I don't like & who has better policies (and why), then let's have that discussion.

1. The most disgusting policy is the sunset provision. The fact that he is proposing this as his big foreign policy platform is definitely not something I can support. I borderline get irritated with Bernie because he has blemishes on his record for being an imperialist. That said, there is nothing to suggest that Pete is willing to stand up against the military industrial complex and to prevent us from getting into the continuous revolving door of regime change wars.

2. I don't like the idea of immigrants being tied to a specific place anymore than I like the idea of an immigrant being tied to a specific employer. Either of these things takes choice away from an immigrant and gives leverage and power over an already marginalized group of people. Additionally, Bernie's plan in terms of the DACA program, pathway to citizenship and long-term visas coupled with his strong stance on minimum wage ( and proven advocacy thereof) gives me confidence that Bernie & his policies are best to address this issue.

3. One thing I didn't like about Pete's criminal justice plan is that it does not end solitary confinement and I also didn't see anything about ensuring trans people get the healthcare they need. I find both of those in Sander's plan.

There are multiple sources that show that Bernie's criminal justice reform plan is the most comprehensive & attacks racism at the systemic level. Pete's plan isn't a bad plan but it does not go far enough in my view. POC have been held back for far too long for us not to go the furthest we possibly can on this issue.
