No :toofunny: just saying he used to be a mysterious guy, conflicted between his religion/family and who he is. And now a few episodes later he already fully aceppted himself, dressing like a drag queen. A bit too soon, loved his storyline cuz its something I can relate to.

But he’s still attractive. Still got the looks. I have to agree with you tho. He lost his spark with all this stuff. They just changed the character so much and they made some decisions that are just not logical (like why the hell is he not Samuels best friend in this season? We rarely saw they together..).. Also that drag queen look is so out of his character IMO..

MTE. The whole season was great except for that storyline.

Also why did they write off Christian? We see him in one(?) episode and that's it. :/

My theory is that since both Nano and Christian are also part of La Casa de Papel (Money Heist), maybe they were busy filming for Season 3 since that also came out a couple of months ago. If you think about it, Nano and Christian were reduced to just a couple of scenes this season and that might be a reason.

Loved it. I thought Carla and Samuel were weird at first but I think they match well. Also, **** Polo and Cateyanna. Nadia is my favourite but I hated what they did with her like having sex at the boys locker? So not her. It turned out okay at the end though. Same with Omar, the progression to closeted boy to drag Queen was a little too quick and unnatural. Lu and Val are ****ed up but I love the drama. Rebecca deserved more scenes. And I finally liked Guzman after all. Definitely wished there were more Christian and Nano but I guess they were busy with Money Heist. Can’t wait for next season.

Okay so I didn't read this thread because I don't want to be spoiled but I  have a question.  So I think I want to start it but the only thing I see people on social media talk about are the sex scenes. Are those the only good thing about it or are there interesting themes being explored in it?

Season 2 has been so good, I just finished episode 6 and I adore Omar & Ander! Honestly hoping Christian comes back into it this season, miss his character.

S1 has rich vs poor theme going on: 3 new "poor" kids are given the chance to attend an elite High School filled with the richest and most influential of people in the area. That makes for a lot of interesting dynamics. You have a rich girl/ poor boy couple drama; the Muslim family is also central to the story, and the two kids both have a LOT going on, so it is great seeing Muslim representation in this type of series. There's your typical teen drama that you can expect over love, identity, and coming of age. And ON TOP OF THAT is the main hook: a murder mystery.

All of that makes for a fantastic show, and the cast is basically perfect. Nothing compared to whatever Riverdale has become. It is a Spanish drama, but with subtitles you'll be fine.

I think that was my biggest problem with this season as well. It's like he became a completely different character and it feels forced.

It's a meh show for me.

You can watch it if you are bored but that's about it.

Also, schools in Spain are not like that

I studied in Madrid at a semi-private university and tbh I believe the school in Elite is quite realistic... I mean they are basically all rich kids who are ****ing each other and being snobbish .... was exactly the samr at my uni

Ofcourse people weren't blackmailing and killing eachoter (as far as I am aware...) but.... it's just a series

And I don't think they wanted to show a real authentic spanish school...

Exactly. It felt weird and forced. Also, he didn’t have much scenes with Samuel while they were supposed to be ‘best friends’. However, this season was definitely better than S1. It just keeps getting better.

I have 2 episodes left and I don't want it to end !

As people are pointing out in this thread, maybe Omar has always been wanting to do that and now he gets to do it. it's just that it was a bit out of the blue. they should have implemented hints there and there in season 1 that he was really hiding a lot of his personality and that he was more flamboyant. And yeah the lack of him interacting with Samuel is weird. maybe they had scenes that were cut though sometimes that happen !
