It doesn’t make sense. Why would she share those pics AFTER she released the first visual poster for Enigma? It makes NO sense at all

Almost as if a tweet by a fan account is not a reliable interpretation of events. . .

The way he thinks about art sounds dumb.

Anyways, the ENIGMA we have is great. I'm sure it would have been great if he wasn't involved as well.

No one:
Literally no one:
Little Monsters: Getting obsessed over something they have no idea how it looks/sounds like just because they are determined to believe that it's better than what we actually got

Well, when Enigma started and they said the stage was designed by him, then we had a look at the stage, I knew it was going to be meh, knew he had some influence on the lack of creativity, I just HOPE Gaga can get all her own ideas for #LG6, how she ALWAYS wanted to but we never got to see them.

Tbh I doubt it went down like this, and I’ve thought as much since this was published. Eli seems like the type to take credit and run with it. I believe the basic facts are true, but what sounds more likely, this or that Gaga specifically brought him in to consult because she had an idea she wasn’t totally sold on and wanted other advice from an up and coming creative director? The latter seems more likely to me and while both stories have the same core facts, Eli’s presents him as much more of an important figure and Gaga just another pop star doeishly following him (it makes him look better).

This. Context is important. The way he describes his discussion with Gaga sounded like he was in control. But the way the writer writes this interview may also changed the way Eli answered these questions. We will never know how someone's words will sound like an article is 2 dimensional. It will sound sassy if you are constantly sassy yourself and when you read someone's interview answers, you immediately read it like how you would say it. So give Gaga a little faith that she went with this idea because hers was less cohesive and may not connect to the general audience. We only like the visual and that's the only thing we know.

This wasn't a concept she even created, and it DEFINITELY wasn't meant for Enigma :laughga:

She hired him. She literally paid him for his creative direction. She hires somebody and they get hate on the internet for fulfilling the service (create new ideas) they were supposed to do?

The Enigma storyline definitely came from Gaga. It's so ... her.

Eli probably rejigged the visual elements, staging. The stage is really amazing tbh. The storyline I could do without.

I liked JTW exactly for its purist approach to a concert. No additional narrative, simply telling a story with music and visuals, staging etc.

Funny how monsters turned on Eli based on a single interview, after raving about the photoshoot that he did for Gaga.
