Isidro Guevara 821
So we all know the ARTPOP era had many missed opportunities due to the circumstances around that time. Let's pretend everything was perfect and none of the negative things that happened then existed. If you were Gaga, how would your ARTPOP era look like that would've made an impact? Mine would go like this: March.2013: Around this time, Gaga teases fans about her new music and releases a 10 minute mini-film titled, "Aura, MJH, Dope: An ARTPOP Film". The film goes over many visuals and a voice over of Gaga talking about ART and POP culture meanwhile instrumentals of the mentioned tracks play in the background. May.2013: Gaga releases "Applause" as the first single from her upcoming album. She later performs the song at the BBMA's. She releases the same MV as the one we have. It peaks at #3 on BBH100. Some fans are dissapointed with the track but the GP LOVES it! It becomes her biggest radio hit! August.2013: The second single off the album , "G.U.Y.", is released. The fans instantly eat it up! She performs it at the VMA's and its MV features a guy (Zedd) and group of friends who enter into a sexy and "futuristic Ancient Greek" themed world where Gaga is a seductress and plans to rule the world. It goes viral and the song peaks at #6 on BBH100. ARTPOP album is released on August 19, 2013. One week before, promotional single "Sexxx Dreams" is released. 2nd promotional single "Venus" is released same day as album and Gaga says it was the last track she made for the album and her favorite. November.2013: The most popular track on the album, "Do What You Want" featuring The Weeknd, is requested wildly by fans and even non-fans alike to be the third single, some even calling it "the new Bad Romance". Of course, it does become the 3rd single and is released in late November and performed at the AMA's. Now, the track gains even MORE traction due to the unknown feature and the controversial lyrics surrounding the song. Gaga talks about the song passionately in interviews and performs it aggressively with passion. The MV features a GymQuarium (gymnasium-aquarium hybrid) where Gaga works out and enters many rooms and wears many outfits including the controversial "newspaper dress" and is also stalked by a faceless dark figure( The Weeknd). The MV is deemed controversial due to Gaga's new provocative but unique image and the sexual and surreal imagery. The track is once again performed at the Grammys in early 2014 and it becomes the biggest hit of the era, peaking at #1 on BBH100 for 4 weeks, becoming Gaga's 6th #1 after JD, PF, BR,BTW, and TEOG. March/April 2014: Around the hype of DWUW, Gaga releases "Jewels N' Drugs" as an urban radio single(no MV). It peaks at #44 on BBH100. In late March, Gaga makes "MANiCURE" the 4th single off the album, leaving the fans shook and some dissapointed, thinking it would be "Gypsy". The track is very well received due to its unique mixture of glam rock, trap, and pop. It doesn't gain much traction until 2 months later and the MV is deemed extremely weird, even for a Gaga MV, since it is an homage to the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" film and many 70's horror films. Some compare it to the "Telephone" MV. Gaga sports black hair and bangs and has a very trashy yet bad-ass attitude during the "MANiCURE" era, reminding some of the BTW era. The song surprisingly peaks at #24 on the BBH100, becoming viral, and is even praised by other artists such as Adele saying it's their favorite song EVER! Gaga goes on tour in May 2014, leaving many fans wondering if there will be a 5th single. August.2014: Fan's suspicions become true when Gaga releases "Gypsy" as the 5th and final single from the album. Many fans begin to cry when she says it'll be the last single and to make it worth, promote the song EVERYWHERE! By the end of 2014, it becomes very popular even though it is the least promoted single of the era. The MV is very simple and colorful showing Gaga in a pixie haircut playing the piano in a fairytale setting and walking/traveling while the background shows many countries. The song peaks at #12 on the BBH100 and becomes a special song for many who hear it. ❤ The End Sorry about the long post but I had nothing to do and have always had this idea in my head. I would like to know your legendary ARTPOP era and how it would go. I'll WRECK U right Up...G.U.Y.!!!🌋💥

seashellplay 512
yes sis! My artpawpuh era would go as so (Gagzies borrowed power from aphrodite and her hip could never break and all ARTPOP content was ready and we lived in a purrfect wurrld :3 ): December 2012: Applause release - Applause is the lead single (Would likely hit No. 1 b/c it's Gagzies and she had no competition) - Keep the original music video because that embodies the reverse warhol motif and Applause MV is ICAWNIC! - Let fans enjoy the Applause era and wet themselves - February 2013: Aura release - Supporting single. Would've done much better in 2013 because EDM was just more prominent in Pop Music. Non-controversial music video, replace the word Burqa entirely b/c we don't want ARTPOPpy to go phloppy (Would likely hit No. 9 or something then fall into obscurity) - Aura era!!!! Rarah can wear artsy **** symbolizing why people dun understahnd hurr Early April 2013: Guy Ft. Zedd (Stole this idea thnx *****) - Supporting single, EDM track, would hit likely No. 19 or smth idrc i just want artpoop act tOO HAAHHAAHAHA candy warhol - SaaHANONONONENEORnpeip power bottom era ALALALALAA crack - ARTPOP: Released April 2013 YAAAAY!!!! have a celebration and dress up as a man May 2013: Dwuw ft. Cupcakke!!! NON CONTROVERSIAL MV (Dwuw would hit No. 1 b/c it's ****ing spring 2013) Gypsy ends off the era and then we get Joanne early and then LG6 would be released years from now then dress up in the fish dress to represent aphrodite's home, the hooker's ocean

HoneyB 27,926
Idk about an era but DWYW as the first single should’ve been a duet with Beyoncé, and the entire video would’ve been them dancing/making out. Not saying it would’ve been good but definitely a shocking pop culture moment! 💋 𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝕐𝕒 ℂ𝕠𝕠𝕜𝕚𝕖𝕤 𝕌𝕡💋🍪

seashellplay 512
honestly i can stand fans on here who suck the tit of ARTPOP all day long and claim it's her greatest work and is underrated because it's really not - virtually everyone on here loves mjh and venus or some **** - but ARTPOP really was going to be big and had good intentions and it's a shame it was delayed + the clash of ideas

The issue is you can't release whatever the hell you want as singles - Singles require a **** ton of money and if they flop Interscope loses money.
