honestly, her best career moves have been

•Cheek to Cheek. got her a grammy, a #1 album, showed off her talent, made the older generations appreciate her

•A Star is Born. catering to the older generations, gave her a huge platform and a huge amount of attention, an academy award, two grammys, a #1 album and single, basically brought her to a second career peak

•The super bowl. i mean, now it would be a bad choice because of the whole nfl mess but at the time, it was good for her. joanne was...well, flopping, ans the super bowl got her a top 5 single and made her into a meme which is a great way to stay relevant

i think one of her worst choices was going away after the ASIB era. she didn't capitalise on it enough, but oh well

Releasing Born This Way as an album despite knowing full well the stigma on sexuality in 2011. I still am amazed by the bravery that took.

Everything to be honest, even ARTPOP.

I feel like Gaga has been always very careful yet ambitious with her career moves. Sure there have been some ups and downs, but every artist goes through that.

She's respected as a legend right now, and she couldn't have done that without going through what she went through, including the lowest lows of her career.

The best thing she ever did was endlessly tease us while making us wait for LG6.  It's just so brilliant.  The planning and process is so apparent,  its genious really.  Is there a Nobel Priza for marketing? Because she should get one. The way her and her team have built up the hype and demand for this magnum opus will be taught and copied for generations  to come. Because this lead up to release has guaranteed massive success. We are not ready. Protect your ears, because it is coming, and it's in expert hands.  I'm just in awe. Bravo,  Gagz. Bravo. :golfclap:

I think to me her best move was the very first move she made which was creating the persona LADY GAGA. the name alone is iconic, the unpredictability ,creativity ,the uniqueness the mastery over her art she brought with her  is unmatched ....she took the world by storm and we will never forget the era she showed up to award shows in meat and danced in blood , she fought  and spoke out for those that needed a voice ,she is a trail blazzer, she set the standard to be met as she carved her name on the stone that only carries the names of the most iconic and legendary artist ever lived....I  could  go on on about her influential she is and will always be, but it all boils down to the fact that the best decision she ever made was being LADY GAGA aka mother monster ,alias- Italian  swine , gagita reloaded :lana:

This. The creation of the Lady Gaga persona was brilliant. She grabbed people's attention and stood out from the crowd, and she did a brilliant job of keeping an aura of mystery around her and keeping everyone in suspense for what she'd do next. Of course, this persona was off-putting to some, but it still got people talking.

And now, with Joanne, C2C, ASIB, etc., she's reinvented herself, and while LG is still there, she's also often stripped down and has shown glimpses of Stefani – it might've been hard for her to launch such a successful career as Stefani, but now that she's world-famous, revealing more of herself and her vulnerabilities (or at least, giving the illusion of doing so) has endeared her to the general public, and she's been able to expand her fanbase. Before, people talked about how weird over the top she was. Now, the GP is talking about how great she looks without the makeup and elaborate costumes and are paying attention to her talent. I think this was a smart career move too, even if original fans find Stefani boring by comparison.

I look forward to seeing what persona awaits us in the LG6 era.
