So about a week ago, I created a thread asking people what they thought was gagas biggest career mistakes and they were  a lot of  response and opinions which I appreciate and respect,I learnt a lot too.

so in order to balance the scale I'm starting this thread to find out what you all think gagas best career decisions are and why you think so  and I hope to get just or even more response and insightful opinions

I will go first

Peronally to me her best career move  was recording jewel n' drugs..JK  ...on a serious note

I think to me her best move was the very first move she made which was creating the persona LADY GAGA. the name alone is iconic, the unpredictability ,creativity ,the uniqueness the mastery over her art she brought with her  is unmatched ....she took the world by storm and we will never forget the era she showed up to award shows in meat and danced in blood , she fought  and spoke out for those that needed a voice ,she is a trail blazzer, she set the standard to be met as she carved her name on the stone that only carries the names of the most iconic and legendary artist ever lived....I  could  go on on about her influential she is and will always be, but it all boils down to the fact that the best decision she ever made was being LADY GAGA aka mother monster ,alias- Italian  swine , gagita reloaded :lana:

Joanne. Say what you want about the album, but it saved a sinking pop career. Yes, ASIB repeaked her, but for that to happen Joanne first stabilized her. Without Joanne and Superbowl between, not one soccer mom would’ve cared for ASIB

- creating The Fame so accessible, mainstream and fresh so that it captivated the entire world

- releasing Poker Face instead of Beautiful Dirty Rich

- releasing The Fame Monster quickly The Fame and not too long after it was created so it still sounded fresh

- performing Million Reasons and the Superbowl

- releasing The Cure to help her streaming and test the waters for ASIB

- her entire post-2016 re-branding that culminated with ASIB, taking part in the ASIB movie iself

- using Shallow as a central song in the movie and releasing it as the single of the album

Everything she has done after ARTPOP (c2c, the Oscar performance, Joanne...) to clear her image, prove that she is an artist and be loved again.

_Cancelling the pop-rock direction of her first album and go for EDM instead + Still not listening to radios telling her it was "too club" for the mainstream afterwards. Her instinct was right, that's what the world wanted actually.

_Making THE FAME this way as such an efficient hook for the World to know you right away and never forget you.

_Connecting her activism to her career right away, it created a deep connection with her fans.

_Naming her fans. It was done by Carey first but gaga popularized that and was copied by all the big singers for a reason. It's super effective to make a strong with your fandom.

_Often doing these piano versions of her dance hits to show the world she had a real voice and was a real musician.

_Avoiding 99% of the online dramas with other fandoms. These other fans often stay mad at you forever once you talked sh*t about their faves and they're "lost" for you.

_Never falling for an unique niche by adding R&B, pop rock, ballads jazz etc to her usual synthpop sound via her own albums and C2C or her Oscars performances.

_Showing the world she was able to succeed out of her character by doing the Joanne era that seemed like the opposite of lady gaga with ASIB being an other proof.

_Doing these constant look changes à la Bowie. GP was never tired of seing her cause she was always  hiding her face and/or changing her appearance.

_Doing ASIB for all the commercial success and credibility both the movie and soundtrack got.

But I think her very best career move was AHS.

1) It basically launched an other career that could be keep her relevant if her music stop selling one day.

2) It helped her to reach many people who don't listen to mainstream music and would have normally never really care much for her.

3) We all see how ASIB is a new peak for her but I doubt she would have been preferred to an actress who can sing to get the leading role in the remake of such an iconic film without the golden globe cred' she got with AHS before.

4) AHS is to me one of the most iconic shows of this generation so it will help "gluing her" to this time period in the GP mind making her still more of an icon for this generation.

C2C and ASIB. Joanne helped too but it helped dampen her weird persona a bit. But overall, C2C and ASIB really made the GP see her for her talent as a musician. Not to mention the countless tribute performances of the GP's favorite singers made them realize Gaga is a true musician and performer.

Yeah she showed us she can be " that bitch" during her first three albums but from  C2C  downward she showed us she was "the bitch"
