The album is a masterpiece.

My favorite: The greatest

After that there are so many good songs, JESUS. She really did THAT.

My least favorite: How to disappear

Litcherally wipes out any other album that was released this year. This is what real artistry is. She continuously tops herself creatively, lyrically, and sonically. What a brilliant album.

Album of the Year, no doubt.

All right so, 3 listens in:

of course everytime there's a new pop era someone will compare it to the previous albums of the artist, but i can see how her previous works have influenced Norman Fking Rockwell

Cinnamon Girl is like the Born To Die/Paradise era: a retro pop song with a "wanting to be loved persona" that ends in heavenly/tropical instrumentals

California reminisces Ultraviolence, with the "drunken" dragged vocals, grunge influence and the muffled sound effect

Venice Bitch has the airy vocals from the Honeymoon era, which also had Jazz/Psychedelia elements. VB also quotes "Nothing Gold Can Stay" from Robert Frost's poem, also heard in "Music To Watch Boys To"

and of Course Next Best American Record was literally made for the Lust For Life album, and the new version cites "Topanga's hot Tonight" from "Heroin"

California sounds just like The Blackest Day from Honeymoon to me. Does anyone else hear that?

Following her since BTD, It is quite amazing To see her grow, album after album. Her music has matured so much, I  admire her consistency, her talent, her boldness, Lana is a great artist.

The way she sings “Oh, be my once in a lifetime” and “Oh, thanks for the high life” in Love song :bradley:

I am almost crying. So beautiful.

After more listens I can say Love song and Happiness is a butterfly are up there with The greatest for me.

I honestly can’t even rank these songs. They are all so ****ing good.

And when you say my name, like white horses on the waves, I think it feels the same, as an ocean in my veins.

Loved it. Cinnamon Girl, and Venice B!tch are amazing. The apple performance of How to Disappear surpasses the studio version. I was excited for California, but something about the vocals threw the song off. Def not her best album like everyone is saying, but still amazing.

Does anyone else get a “meh” vibe from her in the promotion she did? I interpreted it as her unexpectedly making a full LP, and being ready to move on to finishing her book, and continuing the journey to being a Instagram baddie. Idk.

It's her little sister's best friend, Duke Nicholson, who is Jack Nicholson's grandson.
