just do TF and TFM . They’re two separate albums and the point of this poll is to pick which is her best album .

Thanks for the input. TF and TFM are two separate albums (and to be fair, different concepts); that said, they flow in sequence (with the latter “completing” the former’s specific narrative), and quite technically were released as a double-album which expresses a distinct concept in that combination. The point of my poll is to gauge the forum’s perspective on which album they, “feel / think / consider Lady Gaga’s … signature work,” not necessarily which album is “best,” though. (Not sure, but I don’t think “best” is actually referenced in the OP.)

Spoiler

Not to belabor or derail, just to acknowledge your point, and clarify a bit … signature album is the focus of the poll, and re-issuing The Fame along with The Fame Monster as a record album (collection of records with a definitively shared theme / narrative) felt quite signature Lady Gaga (as far as producing creative work that maneuvers the commercial marketplace while still expressing that distinct artistic vision). Similar to The Monster Ball / 2.0 — separate tours, but shared narrative … not conventional, but signature in its own right. I see your point on the separate albums though … I think of albums as defined by record album by narrative … not necessarily hardware format where one disk = one album; but to each their own … The Fame and The Fame Monster deliver yin / yang ( https://youtu.be/NJ5UQOMlEQo?t=658 )

(Could be a commercial selling point, even if so, all part of the signature trajectory … and what’s done is done.)

But, to bring it back to the OP and point: fundamentally, for the sake of curiosity (and the album / format release details to support) I added the tandem re-issue as a third option …

TL; DR: Thanks for the feedback. I was curious about the forum’s perspective on which album they feel / think / consider to be Lady Gaga’s signature, not necessarily the best; so/and the tandem re-release of The Fame alongside the The Fame Monster as the yin and yang of a complete work felt worth its own space on the ballot.

yes, I meant signature, not best. realized after the fact I shouldve rephrased it.  but regardless of "best" or "signature" I don't think it is fair to put two albums in one as a choice. being that they're two separate works, its either the fame or the fame monster, not both IMO. and to answer the question, I think TFM is her signature. :)

The Fame Monster easily. Born This Way is a great album, but looking at TFM impact, cohesiveness, and image, it's definitely a very solid piece of work and masterpiece. She's remembered for it.
