Phoebe Buffay

#04 | Hollywood
Score: 8,571
ezgif-5-0da30ce4319b-1.gif

Commentary:

Spoiler

FfFfFfFF - So catchy, the production is amazingly done & the beats sounds amazing.
ANTI WP - I think I have heard this song before... loved that note when she sings Hollywooooood
corvus albus - A better version of American Life but still only decent
Sneaky Oliver -  I love the simple yet ironic lyrics. It sounds like an smooth acoustic song disguised as an electronic one.
lost in limbo - A CLASSIC. The lyricism is the focus for the most part bc of how good it is, but the production GOES OFF once again. I love how self-aware it is and how it's lowkey campy and lowkey serious at the same time. There are so many iconic lines here, but "Music stations always play the same songs, I'm bored with the concept of right and wrong" will always be one of my favorite Madonna lines. The use of vocoder/ voice effects in here fits the song and works great (modern Madge could take a few notes lol), not to mention it fits the whole distortion/robotic feel of the song and of the album in general.
