These tubes are to help salmons pass dams, as man-made dams are extremely difficult for all types of fish to pass and this is really disruptive to fish migration patterns, as some fish travel long ways to repopulate and when they are unable to migrate, they have no offspring and this has reduced the population of some species at extremely fast rates.
