I'm indigenous Australian and I spot the pattern. Prejudice wise, Indigenous Aussies are at the bottom of the barrel -we've experienced it all. I mean, objectively, someone like AOC to me is a complete idiot, but people here will let that slide because she's batting for their team. Or, they actually think she is intelligent which makes them as stupid as she is. Most of the commentators on GGD have no idea about racism or how it effects us  (ME) in our day to day lives. They use it as a political weapon. They don't actually care about racism and the challenges people of colour face: they just don't want to be accused of racism themselves. That is the bottom line: it's a classic case of deflection and projection. The Naïve part is they don't think other people spot this: we do.

  I've seen it SO MANY times.  There are a few members here who's only purpose in life is to post endless negative and divisive news on Gaga daily. How sad do you have to be to make that your goal in life? How empty is your existence when your only aim is to spend hours on this website posting cherry picked political stories so you can get likes and clicks? Its embarrassing. This website is supposed to be about Lady gaga lol. But one or two people here seem to have made it their life mission to use it as a platform to air every political grievence they have ever had. It's so obvious, boring and I feel sorry for them, that they have NOTHING in their own life except the constant need from Gaga daily for validation .

They will never know what real prejudice is, they will never know what it feels like to be jeered by a bunch of drunken yobs because you are indigenous, they will never know what it feels like to suffer day to day racism, but they will pretend to be on your side. I am done with that kind of lie.

 

Thank you for this! Its very true I lived in America for 4 years and I learned this the hard way. They want to use Muslims as their guinea pigs to validate their opinions and use us as a political tool, and if we dont want to play that part, they will attack us! Ive seen people stand with Muslims when Trump is against us, but turn a blind eye on anti Muslims when its their people and political party doing it. When I complain about it, they shut me up and accuse me of something stupid.

I did not say they are victims, I just questioned why is this a big deal or an issue. Its a paper, consent is invalid. Kathy Griffin killed Trump and while people freaked out, I supported it because its a joke. Hugging a paper to mock someone is not a big deal to me specially a public figure.

Although, after I was informed that there is a hate group promoting to rape AOC, I understand why its a problem. But to be informed this, I was accused of being a Nazi, Confederate flag KKK, laughing at rape, support slavery, homophobic, being a Trump supporter, and mocked for being from Saudi Arabia. Why? because I asked whats the big deal if a person hugs a paper.

There are so many disgusting things about this social media post of these 7 young white male supporters of republican Senate majority leader Mitch McConnel. The mimed nonconsensual kiss, and the choke hand on the throat are repulsive from these young Republicans. But to top it off was the comment about being future federal judges. It brings to mind the accusations against  judge Kavanaugh, who was made a supreme Court Justice over the objections of Senate Democrats. They are making a joke not only against AOC, but also literally saying that they think they can do these things to a woman and still be qualified to be a federal judge. These republican males are repulsive slime living in the swamp.
