Republicans had 10 years to come up with something and they failed. That’s what Dems should run on. Also, it was also found that the US would be adding a Trilion dollar deficit. And yet Trump promised the deficit would be gone under him. This guy hasn’t done anything. People need to stop giving him any type of credit.

Say what you want about him, but he's a fighter. He pushed through with force all of his campaign promises. At this point he'll be re-elected. He also just signed a "safe third country agreement" with Guatemala which will curb asylum claims. He's bypassing congress in a lot of the things that he's doing and honestly liberals should take note. I love Obama but he's achieved very little when it comes to liberal policies, blaming it on Congress. I mean look how many executive actions and loopholes Trump used to keep his campaign promises. Democrats should do the same especially when it comes to healthcare and student loans, if they really want to achieve anything. Obama had a number of executive actions, almost record number, and congress hated him for that. Trump just undid all of it when he got to office because EA’s aren’t insured. That’s the importance of going through Congress (though Obama really couldn’t for most of his presidency).

What's more effective than a wall? I don't get this. If you want to stop people entering illegally, you build a wall. How did Taylor Swift keep the paparazzi from taking photos of her house? Putting a polite sign on her front garden? No. She built a wall. If you've paid for a ticket to see Lady Gaga, would you feel comfortable if people who hadn't paid or been invited entered to see that same concert? No. How do venues make sure that only people who paid get in? Walls. Fences. Ticket gates. I simply don't understand how liberal talking points have led to the complete rejection of genuinely physical reality. A wall is a wall. Many candidates have highlighted ways they plan to go over congress and implement progressive policy. That said, Barack had accomplished far more in his first 2 years then Trump. The only reason Obama was as ineffective as he was is thanks to the GOP controlled congress anyway they even blocked him from nominating his SCOTUS pick with a year left in his term. Ridiculous. If Trump loses the states he has negative polling in he'll lose the election by 116 points. Let's just cross our fingers and vote like mad to make that a reality. Most of those people cross illegally to have a shot at a better life It's genuinely so sad that these people are so desperate. But not everyone can flee to America to escape their own country's problems. There's not enough room and there's not enough money. Instead of taking in so many people, wouldn't it be better through initiatives to change the nature of these countries they're running from? So that anyone can live where they were born in a secure and stable environment. If a homeless man breaks into your home and asks for help with his situation, you would say no. You would call the police and have him not only removed, but consequently punished for his crime. You would probably be less likely to say no if he rang your doorbell and asked for help. Despite the desperation of these people, entering the USA illegally is illegal. One does not commit a crime against another to take help. One instead follows the designated procedures (a.k.a. going to a port of entry) and requests help. At a federal level of convictions, evidence has shown it is non-citizens who disproportionately commit a variety of offences, including drug-based convictions and kidnappings. This is not a false narrative, this is data (through comparing the percentage of non-citizens in America to the percentage of non-citizens being sentenced within America for these crimes). Even if all levels of these crimes were to be equal between illegal immigrants and citizens, there is a difference: illegal immigrants already committed a crime by entering, and have already shown a disrespect of the laws for the country they so desperately want to inhabit. The wall will not only stop illegal immigration, but will encourage legal forms of immigration. It's a win/win situation, and I'm glad the SCOTUS has rules in his favour. New policies. I don’t think immigrants just want to take pictures of California or Texas. Lol. Here’s where your logic might need a little more critical thinking. Those Gaga concerts are guarded by actual people. $2.5B will build a wall but how much will it cost to have onsite staff to guard 1,933 miles of fence? As our stable genius president has said in the past “if there's a concrete wall in front of you, go through it, go under it, go around it.” What is this wall going to do for the overseas illegal immigrants? Or the ones who overstay their visas?

The current immigration system is trash. What you are describing is not a reality. When you are running as a matter of life or death laws don’t apply. It’s easy to spew legal talk when you aren’t the desperate one.
