thatfoxyfeeling 13,427
Brexit and Boris... Australia is just as bad re-electing Scott Morrison. I'm moving to New Zealand., Jacinda is class.
imnotyourbabe10 6,120
FFS, we live in a global village and multicultural world. This reversion to nationalism and phobia of the "other" is really disappointing. Can I exit the simulation yet?
Morphine Prince 109,865
Trash. The British public will destroy him soon enough though. Hope his exit is humiliating.
doppelganger 4,022
Every time I think my country's politics is bad, I think of the UK and feel immediately blessed. Nice knowing you, United Kingdom.
Miracle 14,068
Boris Johnson is going to end like Theresa May in less than two years. Probably less if there isn't a Brexit option on October 31st.

I mean, when you have about 50-50 split on Brexit *and* the Brexiteers don't have a consensus on what they want from a Brexit it's going to be difficult to reach your potential. I know that's a bit of a simplification and May was by no means perfect or very good, but I just think that she is not really in the same boat as the other 3 who got into office under different circumstances. She got elected because she is a puppet and she resigned because she is a puppet. People are sick of puppets. The three others were also puppets but much better actors. Zander 14,944
Tbh none of the British political parties have anybody decent leading them at the moment. They’re all pretty hopeless. In the conservative leader election he was really the best their was out of a bad bunch.
Saint Laurent 4,862
I sincerely hope that there is a General Election soon (preferably with the Labour Party having a Leadership Election prior to that happening). I cannot see how a politician such as Boris Johnson will be able to appeal to the masses and make any type of positive contribution to our country's politics. EDIT: This, by the way, is coming from a Conservative supporter (prior, of course, to the chaos that has ensued in the Party following the referendum). No doubt Canada is going to pull some bullshit in their next election.
GagaIsDope 679
Just a bit of extra information for anyone who was wondering. Boris Johnson did not become prime minster by a general election. He was elected by just under 139,000 Conservative party members because the previous prime minister, Theresa May, resigned. That number represents about 0.2% of the population of the UK. The pressure that politicians are under these days is much more complex. I don’t think she was particularly bad. But she wasn’t particularly anything. Blair was far more gutless. Cameron far more ruthless.
