I wasn't around for that era but personally I prefer TFJ musically to EH. EH felt clumsily executed both musically, lyrically, and conceptually. TFJ was diverse but not disparate. In any case, we all know her true best album is Give Me The Money. Common Cold slaying the lessers. Very happy if Marina is coming back. The other day I saw someone saying Marina was a rip-off of Lana Del Rey because she used the phrase suicide blonde and because she talked about Americana. Genuinely embarrassing. As a fan of both, they really don't have that much in common besides occasionally talking about Americana and being women.
