Sorry how is a gay person comparable to a priest?

A priest is associated with religion, which has caused major problems and wars in the past. Religion still is not always as inclusive. You’re also not born with religion. Why do you compare that with homophobic attacks/ a gay person being pushed

erm what exactly are we abusing?

We're abusing equality. We want equality and we deserve it, yet because this man is religious it's 'HAHAHAHAHAH' but if it was a gay person it would be 'omg this is soooo bad what a homophobe'.

Equal right is equal rights. Everyone should be treated with the same love and respect regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation and gender.

So you are honestly justifying this priest being pushed who has probably not done anything to anybody as 'a priest is associated with religion which has caused major problems' but imply that a gay person being pushed is in anyway different? Prejudice is prejudice and discrimination is discrimination.

For a lot of people they are born into a religion. Most eastern religions inc Islam, Hinduism and Sikhism bring up their kids to be religious and teach them to stay with the same religion and to bring their kids up as that respective religion. They are born, stay and die in the same religion with heavy encouragement and sometimes pressure from family.

And by the way, I'm gay myself.

ok, by that logic when I laugh at a video of someone being beaten to death, it's okay to laugh because I'm laughing at an image right not the subject itself?

Watching someone fall, trip or being pushed is funny, & there’s scientific proof to back up that natural bodily response. Laughing is a natural response for many of us in awkward social situations that involve pain but to compare it to someone being murdered on film is another level dude & the fact that you can’t seem to separate those two extremes is honestly frightening. You’re calling the rest of us “intellectually stunted” yet you’re the one who’s forcing us to look through black & white lenses at this particular situation when in reality there are multiple perceptions to view it. Being able to see those view points & share with each other is what helps us grow but to slam people saying they’re dumb because you’re unable to see their view point is just moving backwards. Honestly expected more from some of y’all.

Yes, you’ve made it clear you don’t think it’s funny, i get it but i don’t care.

Again you’re dragging homophobia into this?? Why? Lol bye you’re not even reading my previous posts

Why would I read any other comments than the ones in which you quote me :toofunny: Like you're not the center of my life but go off :awkney:

I was laughing with it. I never justified it. Jesus did I push the guy? And ok i’m gay too ??

What i meant was, a priest is associated with religion which is associated with problems. I can, to a certain extent ‘understand’ if a person who maybe has suffered from the actions of a certain religion wants to take ‘revenge’ and since religion isn’t an actual thing or person, a priest is closest to that religion.Maybe she was attacking his religion.  But i’m not justifying it!!

let’s leave it now tho

What are you talking about? :toofunny: You said it's funny and the priest doens't know that yall are laughing about it so that makes it ok (literally disregarding moral codex, because "it's ok when no one sees it") then you said  the video it's funny because it's black humor and that you don't care that I expressed my opinion of it not beeing funny and asked me to keep bringing up how problematic it is so I told you that I will and when I will bring it up to which you replied I don't read your comments. Apparently the only one that doesn't read is you and not only my comments but your own. You make no sense :ladyhaha:

No one is laughing because it's a priest FFS, literally about 2 people in this whole thread is actively talking about religion. People are laughing because it's an absurd situation, the same way people laugh at WorldStar videos. Sure it's not great to laugh at an old man falling but the more y'alls ramble about some fake religion vs. homophobia argument the further you get from the point. My god.

If he was hurt I don’t think most of us would be laughing, the guy is all good so it’s ok to laugh and not feel bad.
