2NE1 and Gaga - comparisons on their careers

Now before you go move on with the f*cking stigma, I warn you to get the **** out immediately. 

2NE1’s career does follow a little bit of Gaga’s career. Here are some ideas on how it follows:

2008: Gaga’s 1st year in the industry. 

2009: 2NE1’s 1st year in the industry.

On all how it follows, Gaga’s music blew up the pop industry and made the industry shook. Just Dance and Poker Face were really successful tracks and was driven up to radios, but also consider the mere mention that they were sleeper hits. Also there were also big competitors such as Katy and Rihanna.

2NE1’s music also pretty much blew up globally and in Korea. I Don’t Care and Fire were successful and is driven up to radios. Also remember the competitors? Those were SNSD and Wonder Girls. 2NE1 remained superior and went head to head with SNSD in the public’s eyes like Katy and Gaga.

Also, 2NE1 changed most people’s views of how a girl group is in Korea, like Gaga changed the views of a popstar during the late 2000’s. 

2011: YouTube rise, music known globally.

Born This Way shook the world charts and went in. Global music charts were amazed. I Am The Best pretty much did the same. It went number 1 on South Korean charts and also at World Digital Songs (Billboard). Also it was pretty amazing on their viewerships. Gaga remained to lead with her music videos during 2011. 2NE1’s viewership during the Hallyu era where KPop isn’t still popular worldwide was also impressive and worth a recognition. 

2013/2014: Unlucky years

Gaga’s ARTPOP era was her downfall. ARTPOP was met with handful of controversies, insults and reaps of bitterness. Also the year after, Bom’s drug scandal went up and ruined some of 2NE1’s reputation. After that, Minzy left and 2NE1 disbanded. Goodbye was released after that. Gaga went and rose up from the ashes though and pretty sure that the other girls are still having successful careers.0

While you're undermining the success of SNSD, 2NE1 probably has one of the saddest career endings.  With the Park Bom "Drug" Scandal and the wave of hate she got, how YG never protected her and how the Solo Songs never really worked out after the disbandment. I really hope CL will finally be let out of the Dungeon and release Singles that aren't like MTBD or Hello Bitches, since she's proved herself as a very talented writer. 

 

Off Topic: Sad how Koreas It-Girls from that time (Jessica and CL) both never really took off after leaving / disbandment of their representative groups.

Sorry for that, I was really just more of focusing 2NE1 for the comparisons. Also I also think about CL releasing singles where she shows off her songwriting skills but we also need bops so...
