I know that, but I’m also saying that she apologized for her remarks after the fact. That we’re going, “oh you know this unapologetic racist has a point here.” is problematic when she actually *did* own up for her words. That’s the difference. Her words are by no means even remotely okay but should we permanently keep someone on blast, “canceling” them when they’ve since apologized? I don’t think we ought to.

Those “catastrophic countries”  he’s trying to refer to deal with the reverberations of European colonialism and capitalism. Especially Palestine; but, most literally, Puerto Rico - since it’s a territory of the United States.
