I mean, if look at a candidate like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren, they are offering stuff that literally no American can disagree with wanting: an affordable and reliable government health care program, free college tuition, combating climate change (whether you believe in it or not is irrelevant to the fact that it's actually happening), fighting for social justice and marginalized groups, rebuilding the middle class, etc. People just think screaming "Make America Great Again!!" will fix issues... This is just a snapshot, people. Most presidents get re-elected with similar approval ratings. With a strong economy, unlike what pollsters are predicting, I think he'll get re-elected. Most trump supporters don't even answer poll question and don't like the media. So I'm not sure how accurate those polls are especially after 2016. You're forgetting the fact that he won in States like WI and MI with extremely slim margins. States that Clinton ignored and States that voted for Bernie in the primaries. If the Dems would've had a likable candidate in the election, they probably could've won. You're just stating the facts, but unless they live under a rock, their whole lives are influenced by some type of media. Like Facebook where most people get their news.
