All of which was not the case with Kesha. that's exactly what someone tied to a contract and fearing being sued would say sweetie

Friendly reminder that this is the same exact thing Kesha and her mom said UNDER OATH years before she came out publicly with the accusations, contracts are very tricky and muting, there are a lot of restrictions and breaking those restrictions can lead to major lawsuits that can end a career. She’d never be able to put out another song again until she’s let go, it’s a very very tricky situation. Hopefully she can get out of it

vinster13 3,574
Very curious as to how involved he is in her career. Kim is an interesting artist and her music is really good. Aside from that, we all should know by now that contracts in the music industry are messy.

Kim's lyrics honestly reflect her life and personality whereas with Kesha her music screamed "this is so not me, save me". This was especially true on her album Warrior where you could tell the music was forced. Besides, is Luke dumb enough to want to paint himself as predator again, I think not. One subtle tweet from Kim and his career as a producer may as well be fully over. We no longer live in an age where contracts are absolute power, since one's voice on social media can cause quite the ripple.

One subtle tweet from Kim and his career as a producer may as well be fully over. We no longer live in an age where contracts are absolute power, since one's voice on social media can cause quite the ripple. this makes no sense whatsoever. Kim has said multiple times that she does not live the lavish life that she writes about, it’s a character. Pop music to her is an escape from reality and she wants the listener to forget about their problems. Most of her party girl lavish life songs come from imagination and exaggeration, not her own life. And this album was mostly about relationships and heartbreak not partying and living an expensive life. Kesha’s warrior on the other hand, none of the songs talk about being in a bad place contractually, or gave a hint about Luke, people only became aware of what was going on after she came out and said she was forced to record some of the songs and it wasn’t the direction she wanted to go on her MTV docu-series. And that was an year before the accusations. Sure Kim can ‘tweet about it’ but we don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes. We didn’t know the extend of the abuse kesha was put through at the hands of Luke until much later. She came out with the allegations almost a decade later, so for you to say this is the age of social media and Kim can tweet about it is kind is hypocritical. Kim might not have been sexually abused at the hands of Luke, but that doesn’t mean she’s not intimidated by him or scared of him. The truth of the matter is: we. just. don’t. know.
