HookerOnAChurch 6,799
Absolutely. It's a sort of continuation of very bad songs and album. Madonna really did a great album, one of her best, but there is no space in this mess for quality music. So What? I still have hope, waiting for Rihanna and (finger crossed) Lady Gaga... of course. Twitter 14
Anything in pop culture repeats itself. Reasons why pop music becomes low brow until an artist brings something new to the table.
Judas Society 3,584
Pop culture has always been repetitive. It's how something becomes popular since it feeds into the masses constantly and everyone will accept it because somehow everyone seems to be into it. That's why it's called popular culture. AJRocketMan 2,684
Pop music has always been very repetitive. That’s the point of it. Being overly so does tend to get on people’s nerves, but it’s necessary to have a little bit of repetition, as that’s part of the formula. And it’s not just Pop music (the genre). It’s any form of contemporary popular music (music that ISN’T experimental, so that includes alternative). Having the chorus, bridge, and repeating the chorus twice or sometimes more is pretty standard in modern music.

SHALLOW 16,459
I mean, if you think about girls like Ava Max ( no shade) that do more pure pop, yeah, you’re gonna hear similar sounds. But Billie Eilish can be considered pop too and she included elements from different genres in bad guy so i think pop is also always evolving besides also existing as standard pop.
