On the last night of the most recent leg in Vegas, Gaga performed "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" at the J&P show. Before she sung it, she talked about how a lot of people think that she does everything for money. She stood there and was nearly in tears trying to defend herself saying that she does everything because she loves it and the money just follows. She said that she's still the same girl who wants to be in NYC with her heels in a gutter smoking a cigarette. She knows the things that are being said about her by her own fans, and then a lot of you turn around and think that she's being selfish for not talking with us as much. It's your fault, the ones saying she's being selfish, saying that she's only in it for the money, all of that.

Girl, nothing wrong about growing into a megastar and wanting that money.

 

Seriously, why does she need to defend herself as “I don’t do this for the money, I love what I do”, as if earning millions of dollars a year is something bad.

When you’re good in what you do, either do it for free or make them pay as high as possible. You are making the world pay top cash because that’s how good you are.

 

I don’t think that talk was necessary, sorry. She’s not an ordinary girl, trying to make her look like she is sounds tiring.

If she wants to be in NY with her heels in a gutter smoking a cigarette, performing in local bars, well... Do it I guess. Don’t pity yourself to look better, you don’t have to.

 

She doesn’t talk as much to the fans because she’s evolving from a new pop sensation who needs to be trendy and have a faithful fanbase to a respectable musician who is appreciated by everyone.

Also unnecessary to talk about her fans as if they are destroying her. Fans talk, specially pop fans, specially young pop fans with nothing else to do.
