No one is saying that only Bernie supporters were at fault. One was that she was an unpopular candidate. However, if you are a Bernie supporter who didnt vote for Hillary in those 4 states, you are also the reason why abortion and anti lgbt laws, tax cuts for the rich, the normalized of white supremacy, the caging of children happened in the last 3 years in US. Dont make the same mistake again if your fav doesnt win the primary. Thats my point. Isn't that just f*cking sad? No matter how much you campaign or try to encourage those around you to vote for your party, if you aren't part of a swing state, you're vote largely doesn't matter on a national level. You are correct, you would expect for a community that has gone through and see the worst of humanity they would be the biggest supporters of the LGBT community. Yet, they are the most homophobic. Statistics say otherwise. Actually, you should be more worried about the white evangelicals. They are the ones lining up to take away your rights. We obviously can’t get jack **** done with both sides currently veering in the opposite directions of each other We have a far right pathological liar in the White House right now and you can’t praise him enough. Sorry but both are true. Even black gay people know this. The Kevin Hart thing happened this year shed some light on it. But Mayor Pete hurt himself because of the race relations in South Bend. The white population is in greater numbers so ofc their are more white homophones than black. I'm sure if you look at the ratios instead, the black community is more homophobic. I get it completely. You have a problem with the way America does it politics and you have a huge bias against Progressives while ignoring what everyone else does and will continue to do. But go off sis! You’re only further proving my point with each of your posts Well, if thats your mentality, you must trust a lot of fox news. They offer dirt, why dont u just eat it? imnotyourbabe10 6,120
Bring on Warren and/or Sanders 2020! Unfortunately, too, there is a great deal of homophobia in other marginalized communities such as the African American community as well as those heavily Catholic in the Hispanic population (Ex: My understanding is that population was one factor in how Prop 8 -- the anti-gay marriage bill in CA -- was passed years ago. I could be very wrong though. No receipts.). And there's racism within the gay population, too. Everyone is all kinds of anti-human for some damn reason Anyway, I just can't stand the neo-liberal agenda of the mainstream democrats so I'm happy to hear he isn't doing well [Don't worry fellow liberals, I'll vote for "whoever the democrat nominee is so we can defeat trump" blah blah blah lol]. RoverLoader 1,254
I think people here are in for a LOT of gut wrenching disappointment come election day. Several people here seem to think that pushing their fav while shitting on the other contenders is a brilliant strategy to win a general election. It isn't. It's bizarre that you forget you aren't the only ones watching the debates or researching this stuff. The facts are this: Shitting on Pete or whoever else you don't want to win doesn't help your candidate; it only helps Trump. That's the bottom line. The naivety is astonishing. How about this for a strategy; promote your candidate of choice and express WHY you think they should be the nominee. At the end of the day, you want Trump out of government right? From what I can see here, these tactics do nothing but lead him directly to a second term. Please do not come crying when the more.....wise of us , told you what would happen if you continue down this path

There will be no gut wrenching disappointment. Why? Just look at these Democratic candidates. And wow is that so? I guess all the candidates are helping Trump then by criticizing each other. Kamala Harris must be on the Trump payroll I guess. Imagine Democrats coming after each other in a primary. Who would have thought? Hardcore Trump followers won’t vote for a Democrat. Right now they are trying to win over primary voters. When the nominee is chosen you will see the tone change significantly. Most voters who don’t follow this stuff as closely and some of the people here have short a memory span. They won’t remember many of the attacks from a year ago. If a candidate can’t handle this then they might as well drop out now. It’s nothing compared to what Republicans have prepared for them.

How can we count on him to take care of things as President when he can't even care for his own city and has failed at his one job as Mayor? The people of his city are not okay with how things are, especially the African American community there who FOR YEARS have been trying to get this addressed. The only real reason why he has so much support is because he's gay which, quite frankly as a gay man myself, is just sad. Choosing a candidate shouldn't be based on their identity... That's definitely not the only reason, nor even a significant one if you listen to those who are fans lol they like him because he has a calm reserve about him and is well-spoken and seemingly very kind. People that I know who like him see his gayness as a "nice to have" quality rather than the only reason to like him lol If you look at the demographics of his base it's pretty clear that his big appeal is that he is able to articulate progressive ideas in an assured, not defensive manner that appeals to non-progressives. Like, that's his main bedrock of supporters.
