:ohno:

or imagine if Madonna did, I find it really interesting if an artist's owns another artist's work

She is in good terms with Interscope so I don't think they would allow it.

By selling her masters Interscope would be losing one of their big assets. Unless we are talking about Interscope going bankruptcy, and needing money. Or if they wanted to sell the company. When it comes to business everything can happen, but the deal need to be benefit for the company.

but this can happen unfortunately . we can't really say that interscope records is a fair and free company tbh

if they  turned their backs on gaga during the ARTPOP g.u.y incident then this doesn't seems quite too unlikely sadly:messga:

😂😂😂 I didn’t praise Interscope. I’m using logic. LG is at the top of her game right now.

There is literally zero need to start jumping to paranoid conclusions because of this Taylor mess that in my opinion shouldn’t be playing out on social media.

I find it really interesting too. It's a big reason why I'm absolutely obsessed with this scandal. Adele is  the only pop girl, I think, who could suffer the same fate but XL recordings has a good ethos. The other pop girls probably will never have their masters sold to the highest bidder because UMG, Sony and Warner are "too big to fail." It will still be interesting in 20 or 30 years to see who ends up with slivers of rights from co-writers and co-producers, etc.

I've been silently eye rolling the whole Taylor masters controversy. The vast majority of people on this planet , as employees, never receive ownership of their work product, from bakers to computer programmers, to factory workers. :wtf: So, a multi-millionaire doesn't own her work product, so what!

Without the masters, songwriters still get mechanical, performance, and synch fees. Someone said something about 100 people working at the label that held Taylor's masters. It just seems like a huge responsibility to own your own masters. Also, when you share the profits with other people, then there are more people doing marketing and interested in the product sales success.

So, I don't think an artist should own their own masters, but each artist and label is different, so whatever.   And it would be helpful if Taylor got along with the company that owns her masters, but either way, it's just business and business purpose is to make profit$
