Poor autonomy, lack of infrastructures to charge them, uncertainty about how to sell them for second-hand use, lithium battery is a mess to recycle with poor results.

Not to mention that "ecologists" want to get out of the nuclear energy (the most clean and most stable type of energy we can mass-produce ). How are we supposed to support a huge increase of our electrical consumption due to the cars without nuclear energy ? That baffles me.

4th generation nuclear powerplants will probably be built (Thorium energy) since they are in general a lot safer even if all ëmergency systems don't work. So there is a future for clean and safe nuclear energy.

Exactly. I don't understand why people want to reduce drastically the % of nuclear energy in their energy mix. To do so Germany had to open coal powerplants

The future of the energy is the nuclear fusion and governments should invest more money into research even if it may be unpopular
