Honestly I felt like Gaga herself was low key disapointed by the whole experience of meeting this mythical creature the media portrays...aka the Dalai Lama. Throughout the whole thing you can literally see her trying to cultivate a deeper meaning in his words when there was none. Maybe it didn't come out the way he wanted, maybe he was only saying that a female successor should be attractive as in having a welcoming face(?) since he mentioned she shouldn't have a dead face.
