I've only heard it on the radio, it doesn't sound that bad.

My question is does anyone actually hate this girl enough for a song to be dedicated to her haters? :toofunny:

People can be over dramatic about her haters, but yes Taylor's verged into the "look at that bish eating crackers" territory for a lot of people a la JLaw two years ago or Gaga circa ARTPOP.

That said, even if it's an artist I don't care for I would not judge them by Pitchfork. Pitchfork can be unnecessarily nasty and especially harsh on women artists.

Despite what the little Swifties here are saying, Pitchfork is not "hating" on her. They just reviewed a damn song.

This is the first time I'm  not liking the back-to-back first two singles of a TS album. :messga:

Phlop

It’s a bop.

Honestly, when BTW was released all the reviews hated it and it got a lot of bad press for the Madonna comparisons and “chola” and “orient-made” lyrics. But look how that turned out.

The song is a cute bop and better than ME!

I full on hated Me! and I’m not crazy about this song but it’s not as bad as some of these journalists act like it is

Mob mentality. It’s cool to hate on her.

I never enjoyed her voice & music  there's just something beyond fake about her and all of her pop existance

I thought it was nice but not exactly something i'll listen to regularly. A nice message nonetheless and much better than "Me!".

You probably dont know her catalog.  Not that that is a bad thing. If you listen to her albums you’ll find that her songwriting and instrumentation is quite impressive. I understand why “Me” and this song are dissapointing- because people know she is a talented writer. She needs to back off of the message of “people coming for her and now time to retaliate”. Maybe even follow in Gaga’s footsteps. When everyone came for Gaga- Gaga turned it into being productive. She hired a new manager and they made a plan to show the world what she could really do.

I like ME! better than this but it’s still a bop

although I will say her lyrics this era is literally Disney channel which confuses me because Taylor is a great song writer
