ReidOne 12,427
Simple question, it's obvious the game franchise was named after her song. And we she's friendly with them since they participated in the ARTPOP pop-up events and have included her songs many times. My question is: do Gaga, RedOne, and Akon get a cut of all the sales (even the editions that her music is not included on) simply because the title came from their song? Just an ordinary, more than common one. It’s like Britney getting royalties from anything that has the word baby in it.

Even if she did, she would've done it under a musical category. A videogame company can easily go and register it on another category (video entertainment or something like that) and not be obliged to pay any kind of royalties. It was released in 2009, the same time the song was smashing. Not a coincidence.

ShayCristoforo 10,597
Since Just Dance, Bad Romance, Born This Way, and Applause are all pretty generic terms, maybe "Perfect Illusion" was her attempt at getting more royalties. jk Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.
