BUtterfield 8 41,672 Posted June 10, 2019 Share Posted June 10, 2019 The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is alerting consumers about cosmetic products recalled due to the presence of asbestos. On March 5, 2019 the FDA issued a Safety Alertwarning consumers not to use certain Claire’s products. Today the FDA has updated its Safety Alert to warn consumers not to use two additional products: Beauty Plus Global Contour Effects Palette 2, Batch No. S1603002/PD-C1179; Claire’s JoJo Siwa Makeup Set, SKU #888711136337, Batch/Lot No. S180109 because they tested positive for asbestos. Last week both Beauty Plus and Claire’s recalled their respective products, and consumers who have these batches/Lots of Claire’s or Beauty Plus products should stop using them. It's for kids. My 5 and 7 year old nieces love her. Her clothes is sold at Target and Sears. Her make up is at Clairs. That's what makes this even more terrible because it's kids putting asbestos on their little faces. Her clothes are cute, even if they are poorly made. I almost wish the sequin jacket came in and adult size. I hope her management does more research before slapping her name on everything that that has glitter on it for the sake of making a buck. She is young and i'm sure they just get some random cheap Chinese made toy-makeups and then repackage them with her name on it. She's not like Jefree Star who is involved in the making and formula of the makeup.
