Should LG own her masters?

Some of her peers have expanded on music and have taken more ownership in their work or other fields. (Taylor Swift and her power move with new label, Beyonce and her own label and production company, Rihanan and fenty who is now the richest musician, etc) And obvoiusly Madonna and Barbra Streisand were first at doing it.

Should LG be doing that kind of stuff? Perhaps starting by owning her masters?

Especially since she got herself a spot in Hollywood. ASIB is a good debut, but I feel future movies should be through her won production company.

No. Plus her own production company? She's only had one starring role in one non-camp film. 

Plus also, owning and managing is two different things.  A person can own something have absolutely no hand in it. 

I also think there's like reasons why she wouldn't do something like that. Like she can't say no. Being too nice would be a drawback here. But also it would be a conflict of interests. Like wouldn't she be expected to be the star of the films? Then it wouldn't matter how much talent she has. She's starting in films by her own company.

I don't think theres anything stopping her from consolidating Haus of Gaga and her touring/publishing companies into something like Parkwood in the next couple years. I'm still surprised Taylor didn't announce her own entertainment company when she signed with Republic Records. She has various companies, technically, but I think she missed an opportunity to introduce Firefly Entertainment, or whatever, as the next Maverick in the pop culture narrative.

That's how the industry works, babe. Bradley Cooper produced ASIB through his production company Joint Effort. Actors dream of producing and thus exerting control over their own projects. Gaga, I assume, lured in Live Nation Productions but she's probably kicking herself for not getting a production credit. Look up Brad Pitt's Plan B for a great example of an actor-controlled production company. Brad is a producer on some but not all of his films, and he also funds tons of films that would never be made without his star power. If Gaga contributes to another film at the level she did on ASIB, or she conceives an original idea for a film, I'd hope she was also producing the film.

I don't really know about this stuff. I don't watch many movies. Don't care how Hollywood is, honestly. Don't follow actors. Just enjoy stories movies and TV tell. 

But still, I don't think an entire company is for Gaga. I think the fibro would get in the way of that since that would require a lot of travel. Not as much as touring, but still. 

And while Gaga has ran companies and produced before, I still think she probably doesn't have the personality for it anymore. Plus is the Haus really a company at this point?

Honestly I’d love for her to start her own label or go independent. We would get the music she 100% wants to make.

I believe with all the music she’s made (minus C2C, ASIB and parts of The Fame), she had a label executive behind her shoulder telling her how it should or shouldn’t sound. No bueno.

As an example, Whitney Houston had a production company called Brownhouse or something that produced The Princess Diaries movies. She didn't star in it at all.
