One Sweet Day is a song about losing someone close to her to AIDS if you actually did your research you'd know that and knew that it draws on her personal experiences, just like all of her other work (ex. Butterfly album about being set free from a abusive relationship where she wasn't even allowed to leave her house and was scared to leave her husband cause he is the CEO of Sony music and could have easily and tried to sabotage her career). To me that song has much more lyrical or sonical value than a song about horses and cars and a sample and the fact that yall come here that he is black and gay, welp guess what Mariah held that record for 24 years and she's a woman and biracial the fact alone in that is astonishing enough that it wasn't a white man holding that record but a group POC and they did it without 4 remixes. So I don't know what artistic integrity you're talking about cause putting out 4 remixes just to be able to get the record screams sell out to me. But we longtime fans are used to Mariah being payed dust to cause she's a woman and she's either not black enough or not white enough.
