Just Ban Audience Q&As Already

a man first asked Zendaya if she really smokes weed on the show, To which she replied, no, she did not. But then he had another request: to take her on a date to a local ice cream shop.

“If I had time I would, because I love ice cream and I appreciate that,” she said. “Is that a no or a maybe?” he then asked. “We’ll see,” she said. He also told her she could bring someone since he was a stranger (how considerate) and Zendaya told the audience they all were going.

I suggest, kindly, that we should just ban the audience question portion of most of these events. Sorry, men like this ruin the whole thing. Not asking the stars on the panel for a date is a low, low bar.

What show was this? And I don't think we should let men like these ruin audience Q&As, there should just be a better way of answering the question in order to shut him down without being rude about it. Maybe even have people remove him from his speaking position before the actors are forced to answer?

Ugh. Audience Q&As are never not embarrassing, and this is especially gross. The only way to do it is have people submit questions and the moderator sort through for the best ones.

Well, not from all events. I follow the San Diego Comic-Con every year ( only for The Flash panel, tbh :firega:  ) and there really are just fans of the show and comic nerds and ask meaningful and - quite frankly - really interesting questions  . But yes, this was just lame and inappropriate :madge:

Spoiler

In German you also could say this man is "untervögelt" :reductive:  ( I rather not translate it :derpga: )

Ew, David!

You'd be a great moderator on here :diane:

I want them to stop but just because people ask the most banal questions. "What's your favourite ____?" "What was it like working with____?"

Interviewers generally ask boring questions too to be fair. I wish just hardcore stans could do interviews in general lol.

I agree. I was thinking even audience questions that are screened just a few minutes ahead of time, but like written down and moderated by somebody not involved with the panel (neutral moderator).

Obviously that's ideal and probably not practical.

3 points in and ready for more

I think if someone asks an inappropriate question like this a polite or better way isn’t necessary. Grown men should know to not ask pretty creepy and borderline predatory questions.
