No, she didn't.

She asked Dagny (the artist whose song she sampled) for permission, got it, and then gave her credit:

"I think it's very good of Katy's team that they did it the right way," Dagny tells Newsbeat.

"I think it's a really positive thing because I don't think that any songwriter can deny the fact that when you go into sessions you're inspired by different things that you're listening to."

Read the article. :interestinga:

Dagny gave her permission (she says so) and I'm 99% she has writing credit...the headline is really misleading. This isn't a Sarah Bareilles situation.

Woohoo

it's actually much better. NRO's chorus is so messy, the bass is literally louder than the vocals

"I heard if you record Gaga snoring and play it backward it sounds like an act. 2 unreleased."

Lord. She is getting bank from this song. They got the premission and rights. Lord. I really dislike people like you for blowing things up and making a issue where there is none.

Hmmm maybe you should check the writers of NRO before you make a thread. Dagny gets credit for it.

It’s sample (it’s an abnormally large sample) and Dagny gave permission and is making money off of it
