StrawberryBlond 14,577
Its hard to believe but its been 10 years to the day that BEP released the massive album, The E.N.D, their first attempt at making electronic music, which had just become a huge trend at the time. Sensing that this style was about to become huge, the band went from mainstream hip hop/funk sounds to EDM and debuted their new style to massive commercial success. It spawned the following singles: ^ This sold a whopping 6.9 million copies in the US alone. ^ This is one of the biggest singles of all time, and with just over 8.9 million copies downloaded, is the biggest downloaded single ever in the US. ^ Even this lesser hit had no problem selling a few million worldwide. ^ ^ Another return to #1, one of the biggest hits of this era. ^ Even this little known hit still managed to hit #9 on the Billboard 100. ^ It was clear the era was over when this song gained no traction whatsoever and doesn't even have an official video. It was nominated for 6 Grammys, winning for Best Short Music Video (Boom Boom Pow), Best Pop Performance by a Group (I Gotta Feeling) and Best Pop Vocal Album. It was also supported by the worldwide 115 date tour, pulling in millions. It went multiple platinum all over the world, with over 3 million copies sold in the US, nearly 2 million in the UK and received the illusive diamond certification in France for over 500k copies. To date, its sold over 11 million worldwide. However, the success didn't last long. Their follow-up album the next year had nowhere near the same level of success and their SuperBowl performance didn't go down well. Amid all this, the band took a massive hiatus and only came back with their new album last year, completely different style with Fergie nowhere to be seen. It looks like it may be over for them as a big name band but the memories are a big deal to those of us from a certain generation. While this album probably wouldn't be looked on as favourably if it were released today and there are a lot of dated moments, there's no denying that the nostalgia level is high. They were amazing on Elephunk and Monkey Business. This album was experimental and good for its time (hasn't aged that well imho), and it's good for bands to experiment a little bit. But it was a let down that the following album was more of the same. There last album was really good, but it's a shame that they lost their popularity. monster4life231 4,304
I really enjoy their music. I enjoy the hip-hop, R&B, rap and electric music. I think their newest album is great. I saw them live last year and they're very entertaining. They played a mixture of all the hits and the new album's material. spread peace - #MJInnocent

Bloody hooker 6,445
This was my favorite album for a long time. Wow, what a moment. This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.
hoeslay 4,155
Honestly one of my biggest musical influences was this album. This and The Fame were the soundtrack to my middle school experience lol. I actually went through a lot of emotional trauma in middle school and those were my turn off the lights, headphones in at full volume, escape albums. Poker 3,683
This album was HUGE. Full of bops. Rock That Body is THAT song. Do any of you know if there's a version without Fergie's altered vocals? Kindness rules all.
