He felt differently by the beginning of his second term. Same with Hillary, she was "anti-gay" a decade or more ago but never tried to cut lgbtq rights in any way. Get out of here with that mess. I understand that the Clintons opposed gay marriage and homosexuality at one point, what I pointed out was that if you're going to the "bottom line" argument, then the bottom line is that right now they're supportive of it. Whether you believe their support is sort of irrelevant. The problem with these hats though is that this is just a spit in the face to the LGBTQ community. He is passing so many policies that discriminate against LGBTQ people, yet he wants to sell merchandise saying that he's completely for, and supportive of, the community? I don't think so. Also, let's be real here. The majority of Trump supporters are most likely not open to the idea of LGBTQ rights in the first place. They're not going to buy this hat. Why would they? It probably goes against some of their fundamental beliefs to support the LGBTQ community. If Trump really wants to send messages that are in support of the community, then he should be trying to pass laws that don't discriminate and alienate the LGBTQ community. But he did run for president while being anti gay and gays voted for him and loved him. Also, Trump has signed the Equality Act to Prohibit LGBTQ Discrimination because of Tulsi Gabbard.
