That's amazing how BTWF has become important since its creation. But what has the foundation done concretely since then? Can anyone tell me? I don't know anything about it but I really want to know

The Born This Way foundation just set up a program with a lot of schools teaching kids how to give mental health “first aid”. See https://www.today.com/health/mental-health-first-aid-inside-lady-gaga-backed-program-teens-t154454

The BTWF is the big reason why I’m such a huge Gaga stan. Indeed, I have a lot of those “Be Kind” shirts they sell at https://shop.bornthisway.foundation/  ... the only Gaga-related clothing I own, in fact.

this still bugs me from time to time. More recently, they've given more specific examples of projects, but they often still throw with vague terms and concepts.

I don't wanna criticise or anything (criticising is bad on GGD!), but the foundation seems... kinda invisible to me, as if non-existing. Indeed, it is talked about and praised publicly, but I'm still wondering as to its achievements.

think they work more like "Ecosystem" initiatives, where they primarily support regional-specific programs at individual institutions?

The BTWF is doing a lot of awesome stuff to make the world a kinder and more tolerant place.

The Born This Foundation is doing such an incredible job for the past 8 years. I am really proud of Gaga and her mother :)

They don't go out of their way to make sure everything they do is publicized. I had no doubt that all these corporate gigs were for the benefit of BTWF. They're making big moves all the time, it's just lowkey. Philanthropy should  be humble.

The BTWF email list sends out lots of updates about what they're doing, and their blog has pretty regular updates too. They do a lot of research reports that inform their programming and make them public so other practitioners can make use of them. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit they have to report financials to the government and their tax statements are public. I think there's plenty of info out there showing that they're a legit nonprofit doing good work.

(I don't think criticism is bad but repetitive tangential complaints and groundless negativity get boring.)
