She had enough attention/popularity from The Fame because of her quirky visuals/fashion to have another successful album or two. But without RedOne, she would've never had a "masterpiece" album of music to match her visuals. It would've been the missing piece in her perfect storm of masterpiece music + fashion + vocals + talent which launched her to legendary status.
