Guest
I know why people vote for her. The problem is terrorism, France has a tendency to allow terrorists a lot of things, they brought a lot of them back in France to get judged, except that prisons in France are a joke, they get a lot of privilege and they won't do more than 10 years. Right now there are a couple terrorists who were judged in Iraq and their sentence was death. They are talking about it bcs french lawyers want to defend them and bring them to France so that they have "rights'. I just don't understand, this is weak as hell. I know it is supposed to be a country of freedom, rights and solidarity but there are boundaries. No terrorist will be scared of consequences (they are generally not anyways) if they know they'll just end up in prison with workout equipments, TV, visitations, great food etc Also there is a tendency to reward any foreign person who comes in the country, they have more than people who have worked for 20 years. Helping is great, but when u see french citizens who worked 30 years and struggle, and a foreign person who came 1 year ago and has free dentist appointments, free transport, free furniture, 1000 bucks (for doing nothing) and much more, it becomes a little bit unequal... I think there needs to be a balance.
RoverLoader 1,254
I'm not sure what the point of you posting stuff like this here is when you know it will clearly be not welcomed by the majority of members. At his point I think you're just attention seeking.
AlexanderMagno 10,746
Guys, calm down. There were other surprises in this elections: for example, Green parties had a great victory and are becoming a major force. I'm glad to see the whole Europe giving such importance to these ecological ideas. This is really good. And most green parties are Not Euroskeptics. Plus, you should really understand that France's situation nowadays is tricky. Riots almost every week, a lot of hate towards the president Macron, this is quite expected. Yes but "europe ecologie les verts" isnt a great green party, Macron invited people to vote for it because he is near from that group. That's a capitalist version of ecology, a joke... Remember Macron was financed by Bayer-Monsanto so not so green... Its not a true ecologist group like "Urgence écologie" (1,8%) so that's not a Green Victory at all even if it looks like it is for some people and medias .. I'm really curious because all I see here is people complaining without even trying to explain or argumenting their thoughts. And it's the same as Italy. Until the opposite parties will call the leading one and its voters "fascists" just to discredit them, instead of tryng to solidly voicing out their counter opinions and arguments, the "fascists" will stay at the government sadly. We live in an era in which if you vote for a right party you are uneducated, you're frightened, you're stupid while if you vote for a left party than you're a great person and you have no flaw at all. This hypocrisy is disgusting. Colourful

Surely not every voter is antisemitic but the very core of that party electorate has not so acceptable values

This hypocrisy is disgusting. A lot of insinuating you're doing. The reason I say that a lot of people (not all) are voting out of fear is because spreading fear (of refugees and migration in general) has been a tactic used by a lot of far right politicians. So a lot of people that aren't that educated with political plans vote right to protect themselves from refugees (and Islamisation). A lot of the voters don't even take into account the plans these parties have on other issues.
Monster7 5,697
The rise of the far right across ALL of the European countries makes me very worried about the future of the EU. Instead of moving towards a bigger union not only in terms of economic politics but social issues, we're heading to minorities discrimination and hate between people of European countries. We're less tolerants and open-minded now than in the 2000s. One word: sad

Also we just got the attack in Lyon city one day before the vote so it surely boosted her. 3 hours ago, kyanewest said: Also there is a tendency to reward any foreign person who comes in the country, they have more than people who have worked for 20 years. I think there needs to be a balance. The driving licence which cost an average price of 1500 Euros in France can get payed in certain cases as well. I wouldn't vote for Le Pen cause mine isn't payed and put me in debt but some would. It's not the case for every foreign person it's up to situations. PS: On top of that Macron very mixed results on unemployment and loud speeches about ecology while being okay with anti-ecology industrial projects on the low surely helped Le Pen too. I hope i'm wrong
