Gaga’s brand ambassadors

Like it or not, in “public” social media LMs function to some extent as Gaga’s “brand amabassadors”.  You are the public “face” of a Gaga fan.  Discussing what you will and critiquing in a semi private place such as GGD is one thing. But when someone is nice enough to host streams from events, why is it LMs producing the most negative comments and snark?  Why are LMs the ones negatively effecting the experience of the GP that are also present? Why is the public face of the Gaga fan known for bullying and division instead of acceptance and tolerance?  I get that being snarky and shady is for some reason considered acceptable behavior among pop stans, but how does this help promote Gaga in a positive fashion?

Sure, we are independent people and Gaga didn’t actually hire any fans to market her. But that is what happens anyway, and nastiness and negativity from Gaga’s fans reflects directly back on her.

Absolutely. Though, I think within the last few years, this has become applicable to "standom" as a whole, not necessarily just LM's. Doesn't make it any better, but rather is a larger, almost systemic issue.

That said, I initially thought this was going to be about who would be the brand ambassadors for Haus Beauty/Haus Brand, and it honestly got me thinking hella hard before I read the post haha

It’s a shame that the negative ones get most of the spotlight when there are many many positive LM’S that reflect what Gaga preaches and they are the ones that should have the light shined upon.
