She confirmed basically all the things I'd presumed - that she thought she was the one that was going to take the hit in this expose, that she maybe thought he wouldn't be that affected as he was bigger than her, that her video wouldn't get all the attention it had, that she wouldn't gain all these subscribers and so on. To hear she's planning on meeting with him is really unexpected and it'll be very emotional for her but it shows how genuine she was when she said she still feels like she loves him. To know that she turned down offers of interviews from the media proves that this wasn't about ruining him and making a bigger name for herself, it was done out of genuine concern and a wake up call. To hear her say that she doesn't want people to subscribe to her out of pity really shows that this isn't about fame for her. I have my doubts that these new 4.6 million subscribers are now going to watch and like every new video she puts out from now on but were rather just subscribing without even knowing who she was and just to make a dig at James. Getting all these subscribers must be very bittersweet for her and she maybe doesn't want it to go too far to the point where it'll damage her brand if she becomes a trend that dies out. If she really wanted to ruin him, she wouldn't have made a follow-up video, wanted to meet up with him to talk it over, encouraged people not to subscribe to her just to make a dig at him, encouraged people making mocking videos, memes and comments to stop. I agree that she shouldn't have named the video as such. I would've called it "Goodbye, James." And I'm sure she realised the ramifications of making a video like this in the age of YouTube drama. But you can see that she didn't want to do all this but felt she had no other choice. She did try talking to his face, in fact, a lot of his inner circle did. We've got videos of them offering him advice. But he clearly didn't take it. She explains that this was the reason why she made the video - that making her feelings public for the whole world to see was the only thing that would get through to him. It's sad that it took a public denouncement to make James start to take the advice that was given to him all along. God knows what he would've done if she'd never done this.
